Betsy Brantner Smith
Sgt. Betsy Brantner Smith is a 29-year veteran of a large Chicago suburban police department who has held positions in dispatch, patrol, investigations, narcotics, juvenile, hostage negotiation, crime prevention, field training, bike patrol, crisis intervention, supervision and much more. She was a class officer and graduate of the Northwestern University’s Center for Public Safety’s School of Staff and Command in May of 2001 and has been an internationally nationally recognized trainer, consultant and author for over 20 years.
Dave “Buck Savage” Smith began his police career in Arizona and has held positions in Patrol, SWAT, Narcotics, Training and Management. In 1980 he developed the popular “JD Buck Savage” video training series and was instrumental in creating the timeless “Tactical Edge” officer survival book and “Street Survival” seminar by Calibre Press. He writes for numerous publications, speaks internationally and is the author of the popular new book In My Sights. Dave Smith is one of the most well known law enforcement trainers on the market today.

Lawrence J. Simon, Psy.D., is a Diplomate of the American Board of Sexology certified as a clinical sexologist. He is the author of the book “Murder by Numbers: Perspectives on Serial Sexual Violence” and soon to be released “Mortal Desire: Origins of Sexualized Violence” Dr. Simon has dedicated his services to law enforcement, legal and forensic professionals throughout the country and is recognized as one of the most highly respected and accomplished instructors in the country.
Michael Bazzell is the Computer Crime Detective for the Alton, Illinois Police Department. Since 1997, he has handled all cases involving any type of Computer Crime and Computer Forensic Analysis, including several State and Federal cases throughout the Metro-East St. Louis area.
Dr. Robert J. Cipriano, Jr.
Dr. Robert J. Cipriano Jr., has been working with the community professionally within the field of psychology for nearly 20 years. His undergraduate training in psychology was completed at Florida State University and he successfully completed a doctoral program accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA) in clinical psychology at Carlos Albizu University in Miami, Florida. He completed his doctoral internship at one of the largest state hospitals that housed the “criminally insane” within the Central United States. He currently owns and has developed his training and consulting business, SIMCIP GROUP Forensic-Psychological Consultants, located in Pembroke Pines, Florida.
